Lavender and Ewá - Sacred Herb Connection

Sacred Connection

Lavender is one of the sacred herbs directly associated with Ewá. In Afro-Brazilian spiritual tradition, this herb carries the axe (spiritual energy) of Ewá, whose domain encompasses mist, mystery, cemetery, beauty, enchantment.

About Lavender

Lavender has been used for centuries in spiritual practices around the world. Its energy aligns with water/earth element qualities, making it especially potent when working with Ewá.

  • Light a candle in Ewá's color (red or yellow) and place the herb nearby as an offering
  • Best offered on Saturday, Ewá's sacred day

  3. Light incense or the herb itself (if safe to burn) and allow the smoke to cleanse the space
